Staker Parson Materials & Construction has won the Associated General Contractors (AGC) Highway Project of the Year for its Mountain View Corridor initiative, in West Valley City Utah.
The project, a joint venture with of Ralph L. Wadsworth, consisted of designing and constructing a new segment of the corridor which included a new roadway and shared-use path. In addition, the partners added 14 mainline bridges and seven pedestrian bridges as part of the agreement.
Tyler Shepherd, Staker Parson Materials & Construction's design build manager, says: “Our design and construction team understood the project’s challenges and opportunities and how it fits into Utah Department of Transportation’s ultimate plans for this critical roadway.”
