Stay current on regulation

August 23, 2017

The National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association’s Regulatory Reform Page on its website has all the information needed to keep up to date on the industry’s efforts to advise the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and other agencies on burdensome and unnecessary regulations.

The page features an array of existing regulations, including EPA’s Waters of the US Rule and MSHA’s Examination of Working Places Rule, that the association is currently addressing on behalf of the aggregates industry. A short description of what each rule entails and what action is needed to replace, withdraw or revise each one is listed below each regulation featured on the page.

“This page is meant to be further the discussions about the impact excessive regulations can have on our operations. We also hope that this page will help member companies partner with us to influence regulators and lawmakers,” said Laura O’Neill-Kaumo, National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association senior vice president of government and regulatory affairs.
The new page will be updated as there is new information to share.
