When equipment manufacturers leverage technology for improved machine operation, the result is better support for construction contractors, reports ConExpoConAgg.com website.
Such is the case for Stribling Equipment, which is leveraging hardware in the field in order to enable its support team to establish reliable connections to many types of devices.
The company, a family-owned business providing construction products and services in Mississippi, Arkansas, and West Tennessee, was having difficulty with its tech support team.
Specifically, it was having trouble establishing connections with devices used by employees at its stores, as well as with its sales team and technicians in the field.
In order to address this challenge, the company began looking for a remote support solution, and started working with Bomgar. One of the features of the Bomgar solution is being able to stream live video during a support session. This means the tech support team can share remote, live camera footage while an issue is taking place, which allows the manufacturer representative to better assist contractors with their problem.
The manufacturer representative can even freeze the frame and make annotations to help walk the contractor through any necessary action. Stribling also plans to use screen sharing and session recording capabilities in the future to help with training.
As equipment becomes more advanced, the ultimate benefit for contractors is greater support and better-running equipment.
ConExpo/ConAgg takes place at Las Vegas, Nevada, from March 7 – 11, 2017.
