Telsmith to exhibit 3244 Portable Crushing Plant at AGG1 Expo

February 8, 2019

Telsmith is to exhibit its 3244 Portable Crushing Plant at AGG1 Expo, which it says provides low mobilisation costs. The event is taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana, from the 12-14 February.

The 3244 is expected to provide flexibility in a range of processing applications such as producing quarried stone, sand and gravel and recycling. It can be used alone or configured with other mobile plants.

The solution's unit begins with a 48”x20’ vibrating grizzly feeder constructed with mild steel pan, 1/2” thick AR steel pan liners, 1/4” AR side liners and 6’ long straight deck AR steel grizzly bar sections. It also includes a heavy-duty coil support springs with pads to support standard duty loader feeds.

The 3244’s vibrating grizzly feeder, powered by an electric motor, features 40HP. In addition, the dual-shaft gear-driven vibrating unit offers adjustable counterweights, 140mm flow through oil lubricated bearings and grooved drive sheave to improve performance.

According to Telsmith, the 3244 offers throughput capacities from 175 – 265 stph through 325 – 530 stph and is part of the Telsmith line of Hydra-Jaw crushers.

Hydra-Jaw crushers offer the toggle tensioning system to help save time and costs by removing the need to adjust springs when changing the setting.

This toggle system comes with a Hydra-Jaw hydraulic cylinder which incorporates a large piston for high crushing forces and an oversized rod for stability and strength. The bushing and seal are intended to hold up to the rigors of constant crushing in a dusty environment to deliver better service life.

The hydraulic chamber clearing system allows the crusher to start up following power failures within 15 minutes, the company adds.

The push button controls allow the hydraulics to crush stones that remain in the chamber to prevent oversized material from passing onto the product belt.

Telsmith has designed three control panels to allow operations to begin within hours. The Soft Start UL certified UL certified NEMA4 panel consists of a main circuit breaker for the crusher motor soft start while the Motor Starter UL certified NEMA4 panel provides a main circuit breaker, motor starters for plant motors and 4 extra 20HP motor starters for off-plant conveyors. Also, the Off-Plant Panel support stand is expected to offer cord grips and 50’ wiring from starter panels to on-plant junction box.

The company engineered the 3244 chasis with 24”x55” WF Main beams, fifth wheel plate, equipment supports, and cribbing legs that are easily adjusted for quick setup and mobilisation.
