Union Cement changes name to Holcim Philippines(Philippines) UNION Cement Corp. said Monday its board of directors had approved a change in its corporate name to Holcim Philippines Inc. The change in name follows the decision of Bacnotan Consolidated Industries to sell its 51-percent stake in Union Cement Holdings Corp., a major shareholder of Union Cement, to Cemco Holdings Inc. Switzerland’s Holcim Ltd has a 40-percent interest in Cemco Holdings. Bacnotan and unit Atlas Cement have agreed to sell their respective 21.3-percent and 29.7-percent interests in Union Cement Holdings for a total of 214 million dollars.
